Founded in 2005 by Maura Newell Juan, AIA, and Emmanuel Juan, AIA, seventy2architects designs commercial, residential, and multifamily spaces throughout Fairfield County and Connecticut. For over two decades, Maura and Emmanuel have brought a hands-on, design-forward approach to every project—from lakefront homes on Candlewood Lake to franchise and boutique restaurants. Our work includes educational, medical, and dental offices; religious facilities; fitness centers; retail spaces and pool houses.

Our Philosophy
Every project begins with careful listening — to the client, to the site, to the light, to how a family or a business actually moves through a day. On a Candlewood Lake property, that might mean tracking how afternoon sun crosses the water and into a room, or holding back a wall so the first glimpse of the shoreline feels earned. We look past the program to the conditions each site already gives us — light, topography, water, context — and let those shape the few decisions that matter most. The result is architecture that feels specific to where it stands, not applied to it.

Our Process
We guide clients through every phase — from initial concept and schematic design through construction documents, town approvals, and construction administration. Our network of engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and LEED-accredited professionals ensures each project benefits from the right expertise at every stage.
