Maura gained her experience the traditional way—through steady, demanding work on projects that leave no room for shortcuts. She started as a Senior Architect managing commercial projects in Ridgefield and then worked with award-winning architects at Flynn Battaglia in Buffalo and Architecture+ in Troy. During this time, she contributed to significant university and hospital projects. This early foundation in large-scale, highly regulated work has shaped her current practice. Maura coordinates directly with civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers on every project. Additionally, she personally presents before Planning and Zoning Commissions, Zoning Boards of Appeal, and historical and architectural review boards on behalf of the firm.
She co-founded seventy2architects with Emmanuel Juan in 2005. Twenty years later, that same hands-on involvement remains the foundation of how the firm operates.
